Did I Mention...

Did I mention that my husband was in Singapore and Shanghai while we were moving into the new house? I didn't, because it's the internets, people. Only a handful of people knew. So yes, all the packing, loading, trudging, unloading, unpacking, putting away, etc. was done by me and the kids. Thank goodness they are big helpful kids and not little kids! I will be so glad when we are all done at the old house. I still have things to bring from there and cleaning to do.

It seems like every time I cross off the last item on the 'to do' and 'to buy' list a whole new list crops up. Is it the same for everyone else? Has anyone managed to program the garage door opener with the built in garage door opener in their vehicle and the remotes and the touch pad on the outside of the garage? What a pain.

My dishwasher seems like it doesn't really do anything about half the time. Anyone else notice this?

Most of the things in the house work well. We use our fireplace and the blower a lot. The remote is very simple, especially for being a touch screen remote. I'm having a love affair with my bathroom. It's so dreamy.

I have just been invaded by a small dog and a beautiful daughter. Have fun!

  1. Wow thats quite a feat! Which dishwasher model did you get? I also wanted to ask you if you had pics of your master closet and laundry room so that I could see the difference from the default layout and possibly get this done if its as useful as you say it is.

  3. That's what I figured, Rich. Glad to see I am not alone!

I will get some pictures uploaded of the closet and laundry room soon.

Gee... which dishwasher model did I get? I got one with a black top where the controls are and the rest of the door is stainless. I can look it up somewhere - I think all that stuff is in the office.

  4. haha sorry, it was really meant to be which "level" of appliances did you get 1-5 I think were the choices, not the model number.

  5. Oh, we got sheets with different models on it, not sure which levels were which - I know I did a lot of research and chose the ones I did because of terrible customer reviews on the other ones. Lesser of evils, I guess. Same reason we did not take a fridge or washer/dryer from Ryan.

  6. That's even more work when you do it alone! Glad to hear that you are getting settled.

Sorry to hear about the dishwasher. It's one of my biggest fears. We lived with our builder grade dishwasher for 7 years in our current house and replaced it with a KitchenAid a little over a year ago which I love. I don't think I'll be waiting another 7 years :)
